Built in 1966, London’s Centre Point skyscraper is an iconic London landmark offering exceptional views across the capital. Ivar has been commissioned to interior design an apartment at Centre Point, occupying the thirtieth floor.

The Ivar residence is inspired directly by the city of London, combining the very best of contemporary luxury and handcrafted tradition. The design team at Ivar had in mind the modern gentleman, an individual passionate about art, architecture, racing and captivated by the adventurous spirit of 1960’s London.

References for furniture and fittings have been taken directly from the pioneering design of Centre Point building, whose status as a national treasure was confirmed when it became protected by English Heritage.

The contemporary palette is layered with a carefully composed mixture of textures and materials. Bold splashes of colour come from rugs inspired both by the architecture of the façade, as well as that of the London skyline visible through the panoramic floor to ceiling windows. Each room has been furnished with pieces from the Ivar collection, as well as carefully sourced mid-century classics, reflecting the buildings rich heritage. An array of different soft toned marbles have been used throughout only adding to the sense of contemporary luxury.

A bespoke Boffi kitchen, subtly opulent bathrooms and carefully designed joinery result in a succession of light-filled spaces that are both warm and contemporary.

Ivar curates each commissioned space carefully in the hope that they can create a story that visitors can connect with. The fact that the studio designs the large part of the furniture used and works carefully with individual craftsmen means that their interiors really are truly individual.
